personally i was really influenced by marcus miller... definitely imo one of the best bassists. and tim feerick from dance gavin dance.. pretty different genre from marcus miller but still a really good bassist.

joining jazz bass club... my fender marcus miller (cij) with a john east preamp and dimarzio pickups... maybe a little heavy but it's still perfect.

Fender Rumble 115 is pretty light from my experience... rated at 600 watts if I remember correctly? Definitely worth checking out

As of late i've been using a Walrus Audio Slotva on bass for some ambient stuff, was wondering what other users here are using for that style of stuff (and if any of them have any experience using an octave pedal with them? :hyper:)

Any reason why you stopped using a Timmy clone? I'm using one currently too (Built By Speck PBR Drive). What's the zoar like on bass? Is there any low end loss?

So when I got the Terror for the first time, I was really struggling to understand the EQ on it, and I got kinda frustrated with not being able to get a good sound out of it on the bass that I was using at the time (which was a Squier P-bass). But that mostly came down to me not understanding...

Ordered one of the newer Orange Terror Bass 500 heads recently, after having sold mine about half a year ago (to buy a fender rumble 500). Just wondering what people were using for pedals with this amp.

Heard a TON of good things about Sire/Marcus Miller 5-strings. They have plenty of models under 1,000, great especially if you like the feeling of jazz basses already. Also, there's some used Fender 5-string Jazz Basses out there for under 1,000. Might fit what you need.
