I came across this thread as I'm looking for ways to mount an additional TEB-101 pickup. This bass looks totally rad! 3 questions: - Are the additional pickups mounted directly to the body? - How deep were the spaces routed? - Any need for shielding?

Excellent choice! The Affinity Jazz V is a solid, reliable bass. Yours looks terrific. I put a tort guard on my blue Squier Affinity V and I really like it -

My feet are narrow like Chuck Taylors, so I enjoy them. True, the original/standard ones don't have much padding, but it never bothered me. I bought a pair of the new ones, and they are great! They feel good, and I like the style. Shoes are like basses, music, food, etc. - to each their own.

What were the machine heads lacking? I've owned 3 Squier Affinity basses and all have been dependable instruments. They intonated accurately, responded evenly, and will keep a tuning for several days. My opinion: a reliable instrument sold at an affordable price makes music-making appealing...

From what I can tell, there aren't many Affinity Jazz V basses in Metallic Blue. This is my ideal bass. Intonation is right on, it holds tune, action is even, pickups are nice and clear. Band mates at the church always compliment the tone of this bass. It is sa-WEET!
