Squier Affinity Club

Just picked this Affinty Jazz up for a song. I am more tham impressed. It's a 2008, and is like new. Had to tighten the truss more thsn any other bass I have ever had, but it was worth it. Now have it set-up to my taste and it plays and sounds amazing. I use to badh Affinity...NO MORE!

2000 Affinity CY P Bass here. Currently under a rebuild ad refinish. I'll post pics once she's back together. Number please?

Edit: Just got it back together. Painted it teal, strung it with flats, removed the varnish from the back of the neck, re soldered the electronics. rebuilt the tuners, and a full setup. She plays great for a $75 bass :)

From what I can tell, there aren't many Affinity Jazz V basses in Metallic Blue. This is my ideal bass. Intonation is right on, it holds tune, action is even, pickups are nice and clear. Band mates at the church always compliment the tone of this bass. It is sa-WEET!

Ha, I was just funnin' ya man...
Kbax is right, there are some good ones and there are some that are junk. I gig mine but (without getting into that other discussion about what makes one a "pro") I would never classify them as "pro-grade" gear. That being said, give one a good setup and put it in capable hands (tone is in the fingers and all that) and you may never know that it was an "entry level" bass

My refinished Affinity w/ Squier Standard P neck, a Quarter Pounder and Fender bridge. It used to be metallic midnight blue.

Mods to come include new pots, a tort 'guard with better shielding, and most importantly, a vintage-spec'd neck (vintage C, 7.25 rad).

My only complaint is that the tone pot lost its locks (it just spins) after I took it off the original 'guard and put it on a new one. Other than that, this is an amazing-sounding bass, nice and articulate ... and even better: it's ultra-light!
