Used the 500 combo and the 1x15 at a Halloween party on Friday night. I play with a very loud drummer and have to compete with a guitarist using a 150w Blackstar tube amp and 4x12. I easily cut through the mix without pushing the rig very hard, and just a few button switches and a couple notch...

The pickups were a little larger than the stock pickups from my MIM Jazz.. so with the pickup cover on, the pickguard doesn't fit.

I just installed the American Classic 60's Jazz Pickups in my 2004 MIM Standard Jazz bass. I noticed that the stock pickguard did not fit over the new pickups. Which pickguard do I need to purchase in order for it to fit over my new pickups? Do I simply buy an American Jazz pickguard...

Can I join the club? I picked up the combo at GC 2 days ago, and the 1x15 came in the mail yesterday. Playing with my 04' MIM Fretless Jazz. This thing is LOUD!

Can you stack the combo on it's side? Or will that cause me problems?

I ordered the 1x15 today. (My GC didn't have any in stock.) Going into GC tomorrow to pick up the combo. I'm so stoked to fiddle with it at rehearsal on Friday!

Another quick question for anyone who has the combo/extension. When stacking the combo on top of the 1x15, do you have any issues with the combo moving while playing? I'm assuming the magnets on top of the cab don't help with the combo.. so I'm just curious.

It's pretty to look at too. I love the vintage look of these v3s.

Thanks for the input! I think I'll be getting the combo and the 1x15. It's just too good of a deal to pass up, and I like the portability factor. I don't think I'd even need the extension cab for practices, and the combo is so light.

Right now I'm playing through an Ampeg B2R with 2 Acoustic mkII 1x15s. I can't quite get the tone I'm looking for and the Acoustic cabs aren't great. I don't want an 8x10.. And getting the combo and 1x15 would be a bit cheaper than the alternative. I just wanted to make sure it was a viable...

There is an Ampeg 8x10e on craigslist right now. Decent deal, OBO.. Would this help my volume problem then? ..since the majority of research I've done has people suggesting 10" speakers, and you guys are saying to upgrade my cabs.

I got the B115's for cheap, and have had the B2R for awhile. I don't mind the tone, I guess. I like the sound of 2 15's, I just need to be a little louder.

Okay, but my B115 MKII's are marked at 450w each. Wouldn't daisy chaining them together with the B800H push 400w through each? I was assuming that would be louder than my 350w B2R (which I've found to be quieter than some other amps I've tried anyway). Or am I not understanding something? I'm...
