I recently purchased a baby bass copy from MOG in Columbia. Looks great and weights a ton. But I cannot seem to find instructions on how to adjust the pickups? anyone have ideas? Ive googled myself to death.

you will never see a carved instrument, older than 40yrs without some type of repair work. It would be interesting to hear a strativarius with no repairs and original strings. If we had a time machine !!!!! ahh but we can dream.....

To arnoldschnitzer.... I don't agree with you entirely. however it really depends on the environment on the outside, if you live in the desert 0% and you keep your instrument at 60% then yes that would be a problem, but I wasn't talking about drastic climates, but a good point non the less

You might want to get a hygrometer for your instrument so you can keep an eye on it. A carved instrument ( when its newly carved ) will dry out in about 2-3 years, then the opportunity for cracks will start

It is amazing to me even in today's age where you will see so many carved instruments with cracks that could have been prevented with the correct moisture in a room. A small humidifier ( air drawn, not steam !! ) in a room where your bass is stored ( if you have a plywood bass I would not worry...

That sounds about the right price range, depending on inspection of the inside. Maybe you will get lucky and the top won't have to come off. Quick question....Is you bass in a moisture environment of at least 50%? If not the bass will have to sit in the repair shop at 50% for at least a month...
