I used to string mine through body and decided to try it on the bridge once. I found the top load to have a bit of a brighter sound, not quite as woody sounding. This was using the same brand of strings, so i do believe it does make a slight difference. I stick with top load now.

There is also the less expensive but still USA Highway one. Not much more than a new MIM.

I'm not sure about the GK 210 Neo, but I can tell you that I'm using the same Hartke HA3500 with the GK 212 Neo on top of a GK115 and the sounds great. They both sound ok alone with the 212 killing the 115, but pair them together and they're awesome!

Check out the GK NEO 212 -ll. i just picked one of those up that i have paired with a GK115. The system sounds far better than the 115 by itself or a Crate 210/118 that i have also spent a lot of time on. The eventual plan is to ditch the 115 for another 212. These things rock!

Also check out the Ibanez ATK 300. Very versatile in looks and sound. Good deal right now from MF. Usually a $500 bass on sale for $200. Don't let the lesser price fool you. I dig mine!!
