Happy Easter, I’m listening to Elton John’s 17-11-70 live album. This a great album for live bass, Elton John is in peak form and it’s just a trio so bassist Dee Murray gets to fill some space. Amazing tone, timing and phrasing…imo.

It’s really sharp in person and built like a tank. I’m very impressed!

I just received my first Sushi Box today, a handwired Finally DI in fractured cherry. Holy Smokes! Just testing it as a pre into my practice amp it’s absolutely stellar with a vintage long plate Amperex Bugle Boy. My gig tonight is on acoustic guitar so I’ll use it as a DI for the Fishman pickup.
