    Squier Paramormal Bass

I keep volume at full on both, and around a bit less than half on the tone knobs. I usually just plug it in and adjust the tone on each individual pickup till I'm happy, than double check the tone with both pickups on.

    Rosewood or Maple?

I prefer the feel of maple, but if the look doesn't work the bass it a bit of a turn off. I had an ebony board bass that was a nice middle ground. Ive learned it's not worth it to sweat the small build details of basses. Feel is irreplaceable, specs never tell the whole story.

    Squier Paramormal Bass

Love the look of those pickups! Really pops on that white bass.

    Squier Paramormal Bass

I bought one on impulse, and the build quality, fit and finish are fantastic. It's hard to believe its only 400 dollars or so. The pickups sound a bit thin if you have the two tone knobs all the way up, but it is easy to dial the tone knobs down and get a wide range of sounds. The neck is very...

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

Yeah I do all the work on most of my stuff myself. Recently I've been helping my friends out and setting up their guitars for them too. When I swapped strings on the reverend, I was lucky that it didn't need any adjustments, which in my experience is not the norm. I just think these Reverend's...

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

I did through body, and I didn't have to adjust anything. The action feels good, and the intonation was fine.

    Squier Owners Club

I'm going to have post pics of my old squier on here. She's not pretty, but she's gotten more love than any of my other basses combined.

What's your Most expensive, Least expensive or Priceless bass?

My most expensive is a 2020 rickenbacker 4003 in matte black. I love it, and don't get to play it enough. My cheapest bass is my first, that came with an amp, a cable and a plug in tuner. A squiier jazz bass. It buzzes constantly now, and is grimier than all hell, but it is absolutely priceless...

Is it worth it up make upgrades to my beginner bass?

This seems like less of a functionality question and more of a personal one to me. My first ever bass was a Squire jazz. Total piece of crap by any reasonable standard. It sounds not good, but plays "okay". I won't ever sell it. I played my first show with that, and my last show with friends...

    Precision jazz bass

The first bass I bought with my own money was a fender aerodyne jazz bass. Jazz bass body, jazz bass neck, p bass pick up in the neck position and jazz bass pick up in the bridge position, with volume for each and a master tone. I was happy with that bass for long time. The electronics for the...

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

I used the JF345 ti flats on my mercalli 5 and the nut was fine. Your mileage may vary of course. I put the TI flats on as soon I got the bass, so I never heard it in the mix without them. Hopefully your able to lock in the sound.

    Mid-price 5 string suggestions?

I ended up going the other way, I went from active basses to the passive Reverend. I'm kind of a dumb dumb, so the less knobs the better lol

    Mid-price 5 string suggestions?

Yeah, that's a fair point. I suppose I'm guilty of that in this thread lol. I think used is worth looking into, but you shouldn't expect the perfect deal even if your super patient.

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

Yeah I popped those little rubber washers on mine without issue. I've never had a problem with those rubber washers, and the bass is pretty light so it shouldn't be a problem.

    Mid-price 5 string suggestions?

I got this reverend mercalli 5 used for just under 1000. Five string, passive.
