So I've had mercalli 5 about two weeks now, and I put TI jazz flats on it, and managed to put together a jam sesh with some people who all tested negative for the Rona. The mercalli was perfect in every way. I barely had to adjust my amp settings, just turned my gain down a bit since these pickups are hot. It sat right where I wanted in the mix, and I was able to get a lot of different tones out of it for different types of jams. It responded really great to pedals. And the cherry on top is that it's super light and comfortable to play for extended periods of time. I don't feel like I'm feeling the weight of the bass, my hands can just do the work. I'm so glad I ended up buying this instead of a fender P5 or Yamaha bb.
Thanks for your review of it. I've got a Mercalli 5 on its way to me right now. It'll be my first Reverend. What kind of strap locks will fit without modifying the existing strap posts? I'm thinking about going with rubber washers.
