I also like the wider neck on the Mercalli. I found the wider neck actually greatly reduced cramping issues I had for years.

Just ordered this, will be here in a few days. I've emailed Reverend to see if the Freeway 5B5-01 10 position switch will work in it to gain 5 more pickup combinations which includes both the elusive bridge-neck and bridge-middle-neck positions along with some more series-parallel settings.

Curious to know how that works out for you. My Triad is still my #1 instrument, even after buying a Raymond. I don't know what it is about it, but my purple burst triad just 'feels right' when I am wearing it (even though the Raymond is identical in shape/profile), and more tonal options would surely be welcome, as in my mind, that is the only perceived flaw in this wonderful instrument.

Apologies if this has been discussed before, a brief search yielded no results.

I am a proud member of the Reverend family, presently owning 2 Reverends (Triad & Raymond) and thinking very seriously about adding a third.

However! I made a slight detour and purchased an Ibanez Portamento few weeks ago and discovered just how much I enjoy making it sound like I know what I am doing on a fretless bass.

So, does Reverend get a lot of requests for a Fretless model? I understand it's not a big market, but I would love it if my favorite playing necks (Reverends!) were available in a fretless model. Hopefully on a bolt-on model.....

I wouldn't say that my Decision P is brighter than the Mercalli 5 I used to own. But I never owned them both at the same time, so I'm going from ear memory.

I will say that I like my Decision P as much or more than I liked the Mercalli.

I had a lot of trouble deciding between Oceanside Green and Powder Yellow.

they didn't offer powder yellow for very long at all- a very nice colour!

great bass
