Best slim neck profile Fender Precision Bass

Thanks everyone for your replies! I would really like to try out the American Vintage II 1960 precision bass neck to just to see. I am surprised to see that recommended, so I am intrigued! I have always stayed far away from the Am Vintage reissue 1960s basses because of the width of the nut...

Best slim neck profile Fender Precision Bass

Thanks! I've played one of the American Special P basses in a store and that's definitely the neck feel I'm going for! Not in love with the P/J design though. I just want a traditional P. I could just disengage the J pickup or swap out for a traditional body I suppose. How do you all think the...

Best slim neck profile Fender Precision Bass

Hi all! I am looking to compare some basses for extensive touring and recording work I do. I am in love with some of the 1970s Fender Precision basses with the slightly slimmer neck profiles. I don't want a Jazz neck, but just a slimmer profile of P bass neck. I also like a rosewood...

ATA case for short scale Fender bass?

Hello -- I own a Fender Musicmaster bass (same footprint as Mustang bass). Am about to go on tour overseas with it. I am looking for a reasonably priced SKB style flight case that would fit this bass but am not having any luck. Would a guitar case work like the SKB 66? Anybody have experience...

    Cabinet(s) to handle it all

@wcriley So does that mean that the Music Man head run through a separate bass cabinet and a separate guitar cabinet might do the trick?

    Cabinet(s) to handle it all

would it be a dumb idea to just get an used 4x12 Marshall type of cab and put two heavy duty 12s and two reg 12s? Or is that dumb? Trying to figure out a solution that is road worthy but doesn't cost $1000 either. I also thought about just getting an Orange 410 or Marshall 1965B 410 cab that...

    Cabinet(s) to handle it all

2x15 is something i was considering. i love the dick dale type of tone -- except with loads of fuzz and noise in front of it. those old Fender 2x15s that I have found though tend to be overpriced for the shape that they are usually in. Anyone ever use a repro of those style cabs?

    Cabinet(s) to handle it all

Hi everybody. Wondering if I can pick your brain. I play guitar in a noise rock band. But I use baritone and bass on occasion for pieces too -- and octave stuff/loud volume/feedback. I started with a Music Man 210 65 combo. Loved it. Blew the speakers. I switched and got a Music Man...

Speaker Cabinet advice -- Guitar AND Bass

Thanks all. Hmm.. Does look like Peavey made some comparable items to the Music Man in terms of cabs that would work for both.. What about this? Invalid Link Removed or this ported 212 Peavey cabinet? http://www.use.com/showoriginal.pl?set=20b02cba53cba84d55c9&p=1 my other option is...

Speaker Cabinet advice -- Guitar AND Bass

Hi everybody I am hoping you guys could maybe shed some light and provide some advice here. I play guitar 60% of the time and bass/bass vi about 40% of the time in a few bands. I use a Music Man 130 HD Reverb head which sounds AMAZING to my ears for what I'm doing on guitar (I used...
