What would you reccomend I buy at a decent price that could help me get in the 300-500 watts?

I'm seeing bass cabinet and heads that seem to have a lot of power for a low price. How do these work? Do I had them to my amp and get the power? How come they are so cheap compared to my 100 watts SS amp?
