Bass Soloing through a guitar rig instead of bass rig

Indeed, I do enjoy playing with guitar rig. Even though, it's not a good tone for bass playing in general, but it inspires me to get more ideas for bassline creation and song writing.

Bass Soloing through a guitar rig instead of bass rig

Hi guys, I wonder if any of you guys has every tried to play through a typical guitar rig. This morning, I have done my attempt to play a solo on my 6 stringer through Bias FX, I pick a Tosin rig with high gain setup. And it turned out with lots of fun. Please let me know what you think?

    The Soundgear Club

I have been a proud owner of this Japanese Prestige SR5006 for more than 1 year. Happy with it. The audio was recorded directly through my audio interface, no effect or post production. Hope you enjoy watching me playing my bass as much as I enjoy playing on it. Cheers!

Here is my video. Nothing fancy. I just try to record my practice session when I do improvisation, one take and fully improvised. The audio was recorded directly through the Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface to Ableton Live Lite. No pre or post effect or EQ

    Dumb looping question - COG

From my experience, there's correct way for the chain. Just try every way you could do, play with the chain, if you satisfy with the sound, you got it!

Photos/Videos of your kids playing basses

Fun thing that I have just realized after this jam, my son asked me if I could buy him the same bass for him when he grew up. I realized that this Sandberg bass has the same age as him, actually 2 months older. And this was his first bass to practice on. I'm totally a happy father :)

It's nice! I have many kinds of instrument in my play room that my kids have access. When this boy was 2, he "decided" to play drums. Until last year, he asked me teach him playing bass. Kids study music quick.

And this is how he pretends to be very good at playing bass. I can't stop laughing when he starts to move his left fingers up and down the fretboard LOL

Been playing with fingers for 5 months. Recently tried pick. Never going back

Hi, I don't think that you should get rid of any technique because you feel it's easier and more comfortable with the others. That doesn't make any sense. Because each technique gives specific tone that will be good for specific purpose of the songs. Me personally don't play with pick, because...

    Sound stupid but...

Well, I think that we are on the same boat. At least, I was! I had been studied a lot of music theory, scales and many more, but I didn't how to use them nicely in the improvisation, groove fills or whatever. After a long time of researching and practice, my suggestions for you are the...
