    Darkglass vs High Output Basses

It is more about impedance matching than 9V vs 18V. Aguilar OBP3, which is used on some USA Spectors has 100 Ohm output impedance. You can plug it into a mixer's line in socket and it will do great. That is why it overloads most pedals as most of them are designed to handle instrument output...

    OBP3 Mid range switch capacitors

Make sure that your ceramic capacitors are Class 1 C0G. Those have stable capacitance characteristics and they should not have a piezo effect.

    SPECTOR® Owners Club

I will be unconventional here. Going to the Spector fan thread and asking whether you should get a Spector instead of keeping your Wal is like going to a Porsche dealer and asking which car brand you should get. Also, how many people answering have actually any experience with Wals? Spectors...

    Darkglass dissapointment

I have a Spector as well. I learnt that it overloads almost every pedal (apart from compressors which have internal voltage pump). It is not so much about strong signal but rather about output impedance. When using effects, I can't live without a booster at the begging of the chain which can...

Training relative pitch recognition with Android app

Hi guys, I hope this is the right forum for my post. I have created this free Android app which trains relative pitch recognition. It is inspired by Joe Hubbard's article Ear Training- Developing Relative Pitch The app can be installed from [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. Enjoy. Any...

Help with Iron Ether Oxide - Active Bass overloads it?

I have the same issue with my Spector (Aguilar preamp). It overloads pretty much every dirt pedal. I actually moved on some nice dirt pedals before I realised this ;) I sorted it out with sfx microboost http://www.sfxsound.co.uk/microboost/ It can go down to zero output unlike most others so...
