    Super hot, super bassy

Yesterday I lowered the pups pretty much as far as they would go, made a slight difference, a touch less bass heavy. I also just tried easing each pot to its zero. Honestly, not a lot happened. Almost like it is wired in series! The bridge solo'd did sound a bit thinner/snappier like a normal...

As far as I can tell, yes. They look stock (which I know doesn't hold much weight, but I don't know of any other way to check)

    Super hot, super bassy

Hey talkbass! Just bought my first fretless jazz and boy does she feel great. I bought her used, and she is very hot, and on a flat eq VERY bass heavy. There are highs, but it sounds like the low registers on my amp have been cranked considerably. To play at the same volume, I have to turn my...

    EHX Freeze Odd Problem

Well, I am not sure if i should be happy or not, but I tried a different power supply (a continuous power, as opposed to the 1-spot's switching power), and that seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately, Im broke (a common ailment among musicians) and cannot afford a new power supply, unless...

    EHX Freeze Odd Problem

Well, I think i can say that it is not a problem with the switch shorting out. I took the switch completely out of the housing, and turned it on (in latch mode) and let it run. About 5min later, it died, then it would not stay on for any length of time in any mode. I unplugged it, plugged it...

    EHX Freeze Odd Problem

After poking around online for a day or two without any success, I finally decided to ask the question here: I recently bought a used EHX Freeze from a Guitar Center (via mail) and got it, hooked it up to my 1-spot psu (chained with my bass muff pi) and worked like a charm. The next day...

    EHX FREEZE

How set is the price? I may be interested if we can negotiate.

fender deluxe active jazz bass vs. epiphone thunderbird iv pro

I would agree with these guys. The Fender Jazz would be the better option. Much more versatile, and a t-bird just has a more aggressive feel/sound to it, IMO.

    The Acoustic Club

well, just purchased my second acoustic amp, and figured it was time to join the official club! i used a b100 for a while but needed more power. Just picked up a b600h and 2 b115s. LOVE IT. pics will be posted as soon as the other cab arrives...

    Acoustic B600h + 4 b115?

i am not a big fan of the sound of 10s, though i greatly prefer 10s to 12s. i don't know, i just love how 15s sound. 12s have always sounded flabby to me and tens sound.. OK. nothing spectacular, imo. besides, I'm not going to get this ridiculously monsterous rig (i can only begin to imagine a...

    Acoustic B600h + 4 b115?

ok, so i was running a little math just now, and found out that the acoustic b600h can physically support 4xb115s @ 8ohms a piece (the head is 600watts @ 2ohms. if my math is wrong, let me know!). However, it appears as though the b115s have a power handling of only 250watts. would hooking...

    Downside of the Markbass LMII/III?

What kind of gigs do you play where you need more than 500watts?? At that point shouldn't your bass be primarily FOH'd?
