I picked up a Fender Musicmaster years ago. From the research I did and also the serial # on the back plate, it seems to be an early 70's model. The serial number is a bit worn, but reads like this: 29?099. If you do a check on serial numbers, that dates it to 1970, but I thought Musicmasters...

Cool, so I'd hook it up like normal, speaker cord from head to cab, and xlr out of my head to the board, no DI box needed? In this instance a DI box would be optional....I may still pick one up anyways, seems to be standard bass player gear. Trying to up my game. Thanks.

Hey all, I'm about to purchase am Ampeg B2R along with a SVT 410 HLF cab. All I've ever used before has been combo amps, running from XLR line out into the board when gigging. Not sure the best/most efficient way to hook up this new rig when I get it. I don't even know if I'll need to run it...

My band is thinking of purchasing some used mains to gig with around town. Our local music store has two used 15" speakers, a peavey sp2 and sp2g. Both for $500. Good condition. If we do that, we'll need a power amp. Problem is, one speaker is 600 watts program, the other is 1000. Any...

This was a paying gig for a couple that really went all out for the woman's 40th....we were told we had to wear hats and masks (which didn't last long) Pretty fun gig except for looking stupid. Open bar, though! :D

Is it ok to get as drunk as the audience? Our fans like to drink. A lot... I've indulge and played the wrong notes many times, thinking I need to slow down a bit at gigs. It's hard when it always turns into a party.

Yeah, the aux output is 1/4, and I have both 1/4 and xlr inputs on the powered speaker. My xlr to trs cable came in today, will try them out tomorrow night. Hopefully this works.
