    These basses are way better than a 249.00 should be. I have 2 one with flats and one with rounds. (See Avatar) Also the micro in the middle has been converted to a piccolo. Fun to play basses.

    Short Scale

    Ibanez TMB30 or Micro. I have 2 TNB30's. One strung with rounds and one with flats. The micro is strung with piccolo strings.

    Battery to run a full band

    I heard a Beatles Tribute Band 2 yrs ago in the summer. They played in a big field after bringing a truck with a generator. Hooked everything up and the truck was parked far enough away that you could not hear the generator.

    Chromes on this one for 24 years and counting and the tone is still there!

    I have a 2000 Fender American Standard with Chromes strung through the back since 2000 with no problems.
