I wonder what kind of effects have been used by Pino Palladino to obtain the beautifull bass sound on Paul Young's piece "everytime you go away" ?
Is that Octaver ? wich one U think ? anything else ?

yes, the "premium" series was supposed to be made of swamp ash instead of rosewood for standard. Maybe little other difference in the neck.
but is there a visual index to recognise premium and standard ?
any G&L expert can help me ?

@jd56hawk my g&l tribute is brown sunburst (so transparent color ?) but but fingerboard is dark (rosewood ou walnut).
I thought g&l 2500 tribute premium come only with clear fingerboard (ash ?).

I own a G&L tribute L 2500, and I am very happy with it for the price ! the electronic is amazing and once you're used to it, you can create a wide range of sounds !
I think I'm gonna buy a second one. I found one on the internet called "L 2500 Premium".
do you know the year "premium"...
