    I own a BA110, and I'll attest that the Rumble 40 is punchier, crunchier, perceptibly louder, and more articulate. My BA110 is going on sale tomorrow.

    Finally giving up on playing a 6 string...

    I love my 6'er - gives me a world of chords when I'm in a technical mood, and lets me play in one position when I'm feeling lazy ;)

    How much did you pay for your first bass?

    I purchased a Samick P/J split (the neck had so much flex you could've taken it fishing) in 1996, along with a soft case, 30W amplifier (Epiphone), patch cord and small tuner -- $400. Should've kept it go fishing... ah well.
