I've got a satin walnut version on the 4003 bass. The tone control knob on the Bridge pickup, when rolled down or even down all the way doesnt seem to make any difference in the tone. Is this common with 4003's ? The tone control on the neck pickup works fine.

I really like the GHS Precision Flats. They sound and feel great on my Fender P bass and my G&L LB-100. I use TI's on my G&L Kiloton. The tension is low and it took a while to get used to. That bass is light weight and plays itself with the TI's. After trying several different types of strings...

I didn't buy it yet. It's at a local shop here in Huntington Beach. They are a G&L dealer and have lots of G&L's on display. It is a Blue one. They also have the other 2 colors incoming.

Just like guitars each individual Bass has it's own strengths and tone. I have played a couple Jazz basses that are punchy and really full sounding. For certain gigs that is so perfect for me. I also like classic mid scooped bright Jazz bass tones, it all depends on the band I am playing with...

I can confirm the Fallout Bass comes with a satin neck finish. I have been playing one that has GHS Flats on it. It sounds really deep and powerful. It is very balanced and comfortable feeling also. They can be purchased with a pretty good discount also.
