Not sure what the bass is, for some reason I thought J... regardless, nice to hear a chill deep house track. Been a while. I listened to a lot of deep house back in the day, and they had some killer bassists playing over that four-on-the-floor stuff.

If you're into old and muddy tone, go for it. There's one of these at my rehearsal space unfortunately, nothing sounds good through it (disclaimer: I like modern, hi-fi tone).

I mostly play in instrumental bands because I'm of the mindset that the singers should be every bit as good as the players, and that's been rare in my experience. When I'm Ina bar and I hear a band with scrappy vocals, I generally don't stick around. Bad dadband vox are the worst.

Says more about your audience than anything else, huh? That would drive me nuts, but I don't think I'd be in a band with someone like that.
