Hi Guys! I'm getting a new bass soon, and i have set my sights on a Tokai Thunderbird. I really cant get much info on it and most of the info i got on it is mixed. Some Sources say its a bolt on, others say its set neck while there are also some that claims it to be a neck thru. Two shops...

I have a plywood samick SAB 31 p/j To a noob like me, I cant really tell the difference, sounds fine to me, but one thing for sure. Its really heavy...IMO at least.

I've got a funny problem with my P/J though.... The J pickup is SIGNIFICANTLY softer than my P pickup. Is this normal or is this normal? Thanks =)

not very sure about the bass itself, but i've seen it and i really like the shape. Sound wise... i'm not too sure but you can see the reviews.( actually i think i may be getting its little brother the viper 104)=)

OK I just got a new second hand bass from some guy. When i got it the neck was slightly bowed, so i sent it to a shop and he helped me adjust it for free. the next week though, i found he relief was too much(in my opinion) so i want to tighten the truss rod slightly. My allen key fits perfectly...

What is the difference between a good and a bad amp. I am buying a brandless amp due to my extremely low budget, and so i want to know what would be different (eg from a peavey or ibanez amplifier.) Is it a very big difference? If so? How so? Thanks!
