Hey everyone! Somewhat of a long back-story, but my wife and I got new bikes! I got another BMW RS (2023 R1250RS). Real happy with it so far, its basically the same bike as i traded in but 7 years newer.

Im just shy of 30k on my BMW without any real repairs past routine maintenance. That being said, service schedule for things are short and each service is expensive. Much like i understand their cars to be. And to boot, the BMW isnt really designed to service yourself like my wifes KTM is...

Took a couple days off this week and rode from home in Des Moines, IA and ended way up north in Grand Portage, MN. Here's my R1200RS loaded up , and after riding ~400 miles in the rain.

Ive got one, not koa (its painted black so probably alder). Its a bit newer than that one but still 90's that i picked up last december. Truss rod may be the weak point, mines about maxed so i put on some low tension flats and its good to go now. Resale on older carvins is about next to zero...

Agreed. I purchased a rf-1400 in the same size as my old one, totally different fit. Much smaller. And they must have changed the shape, the newer helmet feels way hotter and doesnt vent as much air. Assume its positioned so it doesnt get as much air as the rf-1200. But it might vent better...

Sport cruisers are where its at! Cool FJR. Not many sport tourers around right now. Thats about the only thing that competes with my r1200rs. Although i may be looking to shift to something a bit more touring in a couple years. TBD, but i think the bike is a r1250rt for the next bike.

Afterneath is pretty bass friendly. Great pedal, id highly recommend it. Could also try the astral destiny, but i dont think that reverb sounds particularly good. Id almost suggest something thats a bit longer time than a reverb, more like a short delay, at least for bass. Afterneath fits...
