    Noel Redding- say what?

There's a sunburst Jazz Bass in De Barra's pub (Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland). Can't recall whether it belonged to Noel or is a Signature model. Loads of Hendrix memorabilia there too. And, they do a good Guinness ;) I played a gig there many years ago and was approached by a man as I...

    Irish Bassists: Am I alone?

What gives you that impression? I was born, bred and buttered here and, apart from a stint living in England, have lived in either Sligo or Dublin :)

The Official Fender Precision Bass Club (Part 6)

Now, if it had a tort pickguard, it'd resemble a 2010 MIA Jazz I saw about 3 minutes ago... ;)

All your basses are belong to me...

Oh, begorrah and begosh, you'll have to forgive me, sorr. I've been eatin' the winter's supply of potatoes and must have overdone it. The leprechauns will surely have me away this night :help:

All your basses are belong to me...

Quite the can of worms I've opened with an innocent, fun post, it would seem. I am not, nor do I purport to be, the creator of this piece of engineering. I merely posted the link as I found it interesting and thought some fellow TB members might too. Please accept my apologies for having...

any lost 80's music you want to share?

Elvis Costello - Everyday I Write The Book Love the bass tone, love the Wal. Just not sure it's a Wal on the original recording though.

    SPEAKONS ON BASSES?

I've been using a SnapJack cable for the last while and for me, it's the perfect solution to the age-old problem of having to bust the guitarist's mouth for standing on your lead! I got some extra jacks which stay in the basses (passive, obviously), which is handy when changing bass.

    Guild b302 Fretless

I just called my parents and asked them to take the Guilds out of storage. I really need to start playing them again - I've been suffering from a dose of Fenderitis recently and could do with a change! They pop up every so often, but wouldn't be commonplace basses.

    Guild b302 Fretless

The bass in the photo is actually a B-301, the 302 has two pickups. They're a lovely bass to play, I've got one fretted and one fretless (B-301s) and have been completely satisfied with them in all situations. And, they're a great looking bass ;)
