    Tuners for Rogue LX200BF

D string tuner popped and slipped, wouldn't hold tune. so I got some Wilkinsons that screwed right in. It's a strange instrument really, the G on the low E string is where Ab is on my mightymite fretless. In front of the dot, not right on it.

    Tuners for Rogue LX200BF

Is there a specific tuner I should get? The D on my set is a defect. They are definitely smaller than the tuners on my Squiers, and I've not replaced or bought many tuners in my day so I'm lost here, any help is appreciated.

Is there a pickup with the same 'footprint' as a mudbucker besides a Dimarzio?

I can rub the body of the bass or knock on it like a door and it almost sounds like I'm tapping on the polepieces with a screwdriver

I can yell into it and it comes through my Rumble. Both pickups, actually are Dimarzio and microphonic. Coincidence? Maybe.

This is actually super cool, it looks like this dude makes some sick pickups. I'll hit him up in the future to see about my next build, and if the Artec pickup I ordered doesn't suit me, probably this bass too

Looking for a more EB type sound, rather than the open "breathe-y" type sound the Dimarzio has. Probably going to get an Artec mudbucker just to see how it sounds and since you can get em on Amazon for 30-ish American.

Yeah, Novak does great work, I see his pickups everywhere too. Might be worth looking into

Basically title. I have a DiMarzio Will Power (neck) in my Warmoth build and it's super microphonic. Also looking for newer and more interesting sounds since it is now fretless. Preferably a pickup with Fender spaced polepieces or rails.

    NBD (Kinda) Custom Warmoth Fretless

I'm digging them so far, they're punchy like flats but they cut through really well when played hard. Good if you're after like Chris Squire's fretless tone or something similar

    NBD (Kinda) Custom Warmoth Fretless

Maaaaaan, this has been a long time coming. So here's my custom Warmoth P build, Dimarzio Will Power at the neck, centered on the holy grail of pickup positions, the 2nd octave harmonic rests between the polepieces. Bridge pickup is a a Model J (70's position), in series with that Model J is a...

    Busking scam: electric violin

Yeah, this kinda thing happens in Kentucky sometimes too. Was at Winchester's Kroger the other day and there was a guy doing this exact thing. Could hear the acoustics of the room it was actually recorded in and it gave it away. You might have reverb, echo or whatever, but you can not simulate...

Why such fanatical love for the Precision bass?

Great analogy. The P is my favorite recorded bass tone. Jamerson on Bernadette is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.

    Very Special NBD

Man that is cool. Very good craftsmanship. Great conversation starter and bragging rights.

    Who Was Your First...

John Paul Jones was the first bass player I heard in a song. I think it was Heartbreaker when I was a little kid. I noticed this evil rumbling sound and I was fascinated by it.
