    Which Is the Best ?

Then knowing that, I highly suggest the rockbass. Heavy sound, good with a pick or fingers or even pop/slap. But just make sure you like it better too. ;)

    Which Is the Best ?

The best advice put out is just play both and compare and you'll find what you like. I love my rockbass corvette 5 string. So much. I pretty much hate the feel and sound of warwicks compared to it even though I love the look. It was an upgrade from my first bass, my ibanez SRX300. Just...

Who prefers mass produced over boutique?

Me. I may want a wal, but I'll only ever buy one if I'm filthy stinking rich and have the money to waste on it. In the meantime, the best sounding bass I've ever played is mine. My Rockbass 5 string corvette classic. My only complaints against it are feel-wise, not sound. My experience...

    NEW "ROAD WORN" MIM FENDERS

I can't wait till my strat gets worn out.. I'm sure playing it enough for it to get there. :)

What kind of holiday deals can we expect online and from "brick and mortar" stores?

What kind of holiday deals can we expect from GC and the rest this year? None that'll change the fact that buying an instrument from them is a last resort for me. While sampling basses and guitars, before eventually settling on a strat, I asked someone to get a fretless J bass down off the...

    NEW "ROAD WORN" MIM FENDERS

I was about to say the same thing. I don't know any 14 year olds who know who Jaco is, just ones who worship a specific metal/rock bassist. But hey, I was 15 when I started and I knew instantly that Jaco was musical brilliance. 2 years later, I now know it even more so. ;)

    I really don't like fender....

Eh.. I used to hate Fenders for the same reason. They all looked the same, and aesthetics play a little bit into it for everybody... But I think it's safe to say most people find a bass that sounds wonderful aesthetically pleasing as well. ;) After getting very much into Opeth, I became a...

Wood.. Graphite.. GenzBenz cabinet ditched--what my bands think

+1 I love Fender J basses. I even avoid the active J basses, I prefer the more natural passive sound. Plus, unless it's an extensive on-board EQ, like a bongo, I prefer 2 volumes and a tone. I like being able to dial a Jaco growl with a tone knob. :) Regarding your choice, Blah, I'd...

    When You Think "Fretless"...

Fender and Warwick. But mainly Fender. Stil dreaming of the fretless J I played today.. Nothing compares to it. But I need a guitar more than a bass :hmm:

Differencw between MusicMan Stingray and Bongo?

Well, imo the Bongo is a million times more versatile than the Stingray. However, 70% of bassists seem to have a huge problem with the Bongo's looks. I don't mind them one bit. The bongo is the most comfortable bass I have yet played. But I like Stingrays too. They may not be as versatile...

If We Were Allocated a Bass Depending on our Ability What Would Yours Be

Well, I'd really hope that I'd get something like a bongo.. But honestly, I expect an Ibanez ATK to be the highest-quality I could get. I wouldn't mind, though. :)

    Most fun Bass Lines

My favorte basslines to play are H. by Tool and For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica. FWTBT is remarkably simple but extremely easy to get into and enjoy alot. H. is a little mroe complex, but I love that the guitar and bass trade parts between the first and second verses.

GC: Is that so wrong? (Not a troll)

Well, I've bought 3 of my four instruments from GC. I was able to get a discount on one of them. GC is not as evil as many think it is, imo, but that depends on alot of stuff. For example, the number one reason people seem to hate it is because of suck employees, which does happen. GC is not as...

    Underrated Basses?

Anything from Gibson that is not a T-bird. Seriously, the dude from Danava plays an SG bass, and before I heard it, I hated them. His tone is awsome. Just muddy and bassy and exactly how it should be(Even though my tone is more trebley than bass :hiding: ). Also, I must agree, squiers...

Someone educate me on Wal Basses

Well, if it is possible to get hit by a car in a good way, then yes, a wal's sound is like getting hit by a car in a good way. It's a matter of tastes, of course, but I love Wal tones. Now, my favorite is not a good example of a standard Wal tone, but his tone is truly unachievable even perhaps...
