    Carvin PB200 tweeter replacement?

I got this for cheap and looking to get a replacement tweeter, but after researching I can’t find a proper one. I ordered an Eminence BGH258 25w/1"vc/hf Horn Driver that arrived today, but it’s physically too big. Anyone know a proper replacement tweeter for this amp? Thank you

Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 cabs to match?

Greetings! I had a Carvin Pro Bass 300 15" combo amp for several years, I believe it's rated as 150watts 8ohms (the stock 15" in the combo is 8ohms), 200watts 4ohms, 300watts 2ohms. Sometimes I play with just the combo, or most of the time I will add a Dr. Bass 12" cab to it that is...

this is what I’m thinking aiming to do; adding an 8ohm 15” or 12” or 2x10” cab, but what is the “EXT SYSTEM” and how is that used?

    Carvin PB300C - EXT system?

Greetings! I have this Carvin PB300C 15" bass combo amp that I absolutely love! But I'm considering running a second speaker with this, but I'm having a hard time understanding the "EXT system" on the cabinet control plate. Can anyone shed some info on how to use this and what is the...

    Pickup wiring help

A buddy of mine wants to swap out the pickups and active preamp for an all passive setup. What wiring options do I have with 4 knobs and possibly a toggle switch? I'm not having much luck and why is Volume+Volume+Tone+Tone apparently not used on basses? I very much appreciate it. Thank you, Matt

Possible warped neck or broken truss rod? help

Greetings! I have a Peavey T-40 bass on my work table and I cannot get the neck straight. The owner brought it to me because he brought it to another guitar tech and that guy didn't do a good job; action way too high. I could get the action a bit lower but still not ideal and the owner...

    Black Pickguard Material

a friend of mine made a pickguard out of a piece of clipboard plastic, i'm sure it'd work for an access cover.

    Black Pickguard Material

I've read that some people have cut pieces out of rubbermaid, or similar brand, storage containers for access covers when in a pinch.

    Partially broken headstock, seeking advice...

Success! this headstock is a kinda weird shape and at a kinda weird angle, so I had to make a caul that I lined with cork in order to clamp this. I did a light refinish, a few coats of clear poly, then wet sand and buff. The owner wanted a new brass nut and a setup too. I'm pretty happy with how...

    Partially broken headstock, seeking advice...

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Basically, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to do something like this over the breakage line. *I couldn't find an example online that is close to my situation. This example here is extreme, I'm just illustrating the use of routing a small...

    Partially broken headstock, seeking advice...

What I mean by "partially" is that not the whole headstock is broken, only the part that holds the high G string. Do you think just wood glue and clamp is enough to secure this or would you advise some other method? It basically fell out of the gig bag and just broke off real clean. I appreciate...

Bass signal decreases significantly after center detent on bass pot...?

So i used my multimeter, continuity setting so it makes a beep. No cable in input jack. I did hear a beep when I touched the black wires of the preamp circuit (ground) to the ring of input jack (longer lug on left of input jack shown in diagram)... Is that NOT supposed to beep at all when cable...

Bass signal decreases significantly after center detent on bass pot...?

This bass is eating batteries quicker than normal too, No it doesn't stay plugged in. I highly doubt that the pickups are out of phase, electronics have not been touched or modified as far as i know. Still looking for the culprit. What might cause the battery to die quicker? Thank you all!
