I can't hold a pick properly, so after about a minute, my thumb starts to get really sore. So I just stick to using my fingers. But to be honest, I think that for the music I play (metal), a pick sounds better.

More just a personal preference by me. I find it hard to play with drop tuning. I don't mind when other bands use it. Also, what's with a lot of you talking about breakdowns as if that's the most important thing? A song should be much more than just the breakdown, unless you're one of these...

Under a year... But I played guitar for a couple of years before that. Strange how I've never looked back at the guitar since I picked up the bass :P

I tune down to DGCF, but then again, I refuse to let my guitarist drop just the top string, because that's lame. :D

I'm just curious as to what exactly happened to Lomenzo. I'm pretty happy about this, because I prefer Ellefson to Lomenzo, but if Lomenzo was fired just to make room for Ellefson to come back, that would be pretty lame.
