I found a used G&L 2500 fretless that I'm probably going to buy, natural swamp ash body with maple neck which is my favorite combination, I'm probably gonna buckle down and get it.

Well, the G&L L2500 and the Lakland 55-01 have the same wood and I imagine the G&L pickups would be better and have a better variety of tones, so I'll probably get it. They're about 600 on Guitar Center which is a little high but I imagine it would be the best for me.

What about an Ibanez BTB? The pickups are slightly better and I could probably find a good one used fairly cheap, I'm not sure how the neck-thru would affect the tone, the only local Ibanez basses are SRs.

I like the G&L L2500 Tribute but there's no dealer near me, even guitar center doesn't carry them. I'll try the Ibanez ATK if I find one, There's only 2 local stores and ones mostly Ibanez and one's mostly Fender, the Fender dealer said he loves G&Ls, he had one but he said the Tributes aren't...
