Yeah used some of the classic Trace amps back in my formative years, and owned a Gibson-era 12 band head for a while. This certainly feels like it has that lineage but I’ve not done an A/B and I’m reliant on a memory of an amp I last used 15 years ago….

It’s not heavy vs a class AB head… it’s solidly built :) The other day I used mine to generate enough SPL with my Barefaced Super Twin to make the drummer sick hehehe

Does the Trace TE1200 have two independent output sections? I didn’t think it did… perhaps they are bridged internally but they sure ain’t separate at the Speakons…?

They are owned by a big UK music store. I’ve heard differing stories of how much was paid to Marshall for the brand. As far as I know the “David” series cabs are all using Eminence drivers, supposedly a licensed design from the original Eden blueprints.
