Trace Elliot ELF 110 vs. Barefaced 110

For 'quieter' (subjective) gigs the 10" should be fine.

I would guess so, but as it appears the 300 rms rating is incorrect, I'd rather pay the extra for the Barefaced One10. If only there was a better quality 10" combo that was 16-18lbs, I need to keep the weight light as It's for commuting, with a fair bit of walking. Best solution I can think of is the Barefaced One10 with a TC BAM200. An active 10" cab would work, but they tend to be 25lbs plus. Perhaps the Electrovoice ZXA1 active 8" cab would work, I'd prefer a 10" though. You'd think there'd be a range of active bass cabs available by now.

Yep, it's generally true, "you get what you pay for". Especially, with bass cabs. Skimp on the amp head but go bold with the cab.

Old thread, but I am looking at the BF 1x10, none to be found in the UK without a waiting list unfortunately. Still one day.
In the mean time if anyone came to the thread to find info on the Elf, and were put off, IMO It is a great little cab, and yes of course it is 300w rms and gets nicely loud for its size. Sure it won't match my GK 800 2x12 but I have 2 and for pub gigs with drumer, guitars and no PA support I usually leave 1 in the car as I am a lazy git.

Are you a member on Basschat? Pretty sure there's one for sale on there right now :)
