They is 1200 watts of real power. Other Am when they say it’s 500 W or 800 W, it’s really not that many

For reference, my 600 watt SMX series Trace head weighed 50 pounds. Add the rack case and tuner and it was easily over 60. I think 11 pounds for 1200 watts RMS seems reasonable.

That’s not usually true, only in a few specific cases.

It’s not heavy vs a class AB head… it’s solidly built

The other day I used mine to generate enough SPL with my Barefaced Super Twin to make the drummer sick hehehe

Yeah used some of the classic Trace amps back in my formative years, and owned a Gibson-era 12 band head for a while.
This certainly feels like it has that lineage but I’ve not done an A/B and I’m reliant on a memory of an amp I last used 15 years ago….
