    SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver ELITE

As an update to this: Got back from travel and was able to use headphones and play a bit. Two things: It definitely does not introduce untoward noise. But some may think so right out of the box. The default on the first few patches seem strongly boosted in signal (both drive and preamp)...

    SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver ELITE

I was not connected to a computer. But I don't want to cast a shadow on the unit here. I think it's boosting signal more than I'm used to and when I AB it with matched volume it seem to not be introducing ... too much (?) noise? My kick-around-leave-it-out bass is not very well...

    SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver ELITE

Got mine today. Short on time to try it out, but the default settings seem to send some 'computer noise' (like an old modem) into my amp. It very much could be too much gain on the default and given a few hours I might learn it's not the box itself. But that was a bit of a surprise. Love...

WT400 does some nasty while warming up, then is fine.

Insightful. Thank you. It seems to have some issues with the preamp so I'll go back in and re do.

Eden WT400 instrument input audio connector jack source

Both the instrument input jack and the headphone jack on my Eden WT400 have broken. I've been searching for OEM type replacements, but none to be found so far. Any sources or part numbers. Photos with measurements below.

OK I moved the resistors away from the board. Was only able to do a quiet test (kids just tucked in). I decided to wire from under the board and this worked well. One thing I missed was clearance for the fan. So after the photo below, I moved one of the resistors further to the left.

Spot on. This "before". I resoldered and will order parts to do a more permanent repair. the input and headphone jack plastic disintegrated, but are still usable. Will hunt for replacement jacks. First test after resolder sounded great Thank you.

Thank you! Any answer that contains "Sounds like the classic..." is what I was looking for. I'll pop it open and have a look. Thanks again.

WT400 does some nasty while warming up, then is fine.

A great idea. I've been trying for a year and found many old places that worked on Edens closed, or the new kids have never worked on an Eden amp. Several here in California said they'd look into Eden repair feasibility, get back to me... and then silence. Happy to ship to a qualified and...

WT400 does some nasty while warming up, then is fine.

My '93 Eden WT400 (factory upgraded in 2001 from WT300) has started to do something awful while warming up. The sound output cuts out for a second or two with a pop and I noticed the EQ clip light comes on during that time. This happens to signal from the preamp as well as the sound from the...

Jury Duty as an Educational Experience

Wow. Very similar experience here. Served this week too, but the similar experience was in 2007: Sexual assault case. As the jury foreman I urged my fellow jurors to only rule 'guilty' if the prosecution proved, without reasonable doubt, etc. After weeks of seeing this creep [defendant] not...

Buried by guitarists. A chance to give back.

It's OK Portland... We're all unique, just like everyone else.

Thanks. I'd love to see a Dingwall played for the challenge. Never got to play one myself. -M
