'95/'96 MIM Jazz bass or '09/'10 MIM Jazz bass?

Any ideas on which one I should buy? I'm eyeing two right now on eBay. They look pretty much the same. Anybody with experience with both? are older pickups generally better? They're both in good cosmetic condition so that doesn't really play into it... thanks!

Voodoo Lab Pedal power ISO-5 or Pedal Power 2+?

I need to power these four pedals: TC Electronic Polytune>Diamond Bass Comp(18v)>Aguilar Tone Hammer(18v)>EHX Bass Micro Synth Which power supply would be best for my needs? I may end up adding a fuzz or drive later on, which would be 9v of course. Can the 5 and 6 outputs of the PP2+...

    Which volume pedal?

My chain: (passive) Bass>polytune>EHX micro synth>aguilar tone hammer>amp. Do I want the Ernie Ball vp jr 25k or the 250k? The reason I am getting it is because I leave the volume all the way up on my bass, to allow as much signal as possible to go to the Micro Synth, which cuts out early...

I see what you mean. the kind of indie rock I'm into is, for the most part, probably considered modern, being pretty experimental and electronic.

    indie rock bass playing

I play a fender mustang bass, sounds like a p bass and looks pretty similar to a musicmaster. I don't use effects, mainly cause I have no money for pedals haha. I don't like flats at all though...

    indie rock bass playing

Are you sure? I would be surprised, lots of their basslines (example, "Conversation 16") sound like picked bass...hmm. I'm going to see them in September, can't wait!

    indie rock bass playing

I play a mustang, which pretty much sounds like a P. I'm too young for a 'stache, but I'll grow one just as soon as I can (:

    indie rock bass playing

What are some tips for being a good bass player for an indie rock band? By indie rock I mean music that sounds like The Shins, The National, Local Natives, etc. So usually played with a pick. Any details you have are appreciated. Thanks.

    What's with all the routing?

I like this. gives you options. and you don't see it with the pick guard on, anyway.
