Firstly, I know I should just try stuff out and see what I like best, but no guitar centers or music stores around me have the ehx bms in store. So my questions are:
1. Do I even need an additional fuzz pedal, or is the square wave grit on the ehx bms enough?
I can't seem to find any good audio clips of this, so its hard for me to tell just how distorted the bass micro synth can actually make bass sound.
2. Is the fuzz on the ehx bms more synthy like that of a zvex woolly mammoth or more distorted sounding like a swollen pickle or wren and cuff pickle pie b?
3. What fuzz pedal is the square wave fuzz on the bms most similar to, in terms of how it sounds?
4. If you think I am going to need an additional fuzz pedal to satisfy my needs, what would you recommend, and why? Would a zvex woolly mammoth become too synthy when paired with an analog synth pedal?
the kind of fuzz tones i would like to achieve range from synthy (think Chris Wolstenholme of Muse) to gritty (think Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs or Jared Followill of Kings of Leon)
Can you get a range of fuzz tones from the ehx bms or is it pretty much one sound?
thanks
