I've had (and extensively researched) the Highway Ones. The cheapest I've ever found was a '10 Precision at $585 shipped.
I was fortunate to get it at that price, and I have yet to see one sell for less than that.
I loved that thing, but traded it off for a Jazz for some reason.
And without looking it up, it seems I saw an older MM Sub for around $600 or so the other day.
So your two are pushing the limit, but they are excellent instruments. Good call!
If only two it would be the two I currently have. They both give me the perfect sound I've been looking for as long as I can remember.
