Where in CT are you located?

Picked up a fEARful 12/6 for just over $300 on my local craigslist. Bests any cabinet I've ever tried, and its light too. Immense power handling for such a light enclosure.

Just saw this on my local craigslist and was curious to what you all think about it. Looks to me like a well done DIY bass with Bartolinis, although it's hard to judge the string action from those pictures. I'd also be curious to know what those three switches do. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Can't stand onboard pre's at all. I have never played an active bass that sounded satisfactory. There's just something smoother about passive systems to my ears. My G&L L2500 stays in passive mode all the time.

My Genz GBE750 is fantastic. Little bit on the heavy side for a hybrid head but tone is well worth it.

What mid and horn? If the mid is 18sound is it padded?

I have yet to find an active bass that sounds natural to my ears. My main bass is a G&L L2500 that I run passive 100% of the time. There's just something artificial sounding about active basses, (and guitars).

I made two trips at last night's load in. Eden 210xst, Ampeg V4b, and G&L L2500. The sound was as gorgeous as expected and easily justified the three trips.

Since 2010 Squier Affinity P-Bass Spector Legend 5 fretless Fender MIM Deluxe P-bass Special w/ DiMarzio's Warwick Corvette Fretless G&L L2500 Currently only own the first and last although I regret selling my P-bass Special. Those DiMarzio's sounded quite fine!

I use my Genz Benz GBE750 into either an Eden 210XST or Marshall 215 for my hard funk rock/metal band. I lean towards my 70's Ampeg V4B through my Eden 210XST for anything more vintage or dub sounding. Occasionally use a Markbass lm800 for practices due to its light weight. I love my rigs! For...

B string is definitely a nice thumb rest. I use the B string mostly for songs in drop D so that I don't have to detune my E string.
