yeah, its called the SNAGG and it is essentially a lo-jack for your bass. I just purchased an lb76 and asked the same question. Its an ID for your bass that can be scanned if it is stolen to prove its really yours.
I run the Ampeg SVT-3 Pro through an Ampeg SVT 4x10 and an SVT 1x15 and I love it. The SVT-3 gives me the tone and punch I want, the Ampeg 4x10 gives me the growling top register and the Ampeg 1x15 brings the chest resonating bottom end that gives even the highest notes a clear (not muddy) low...
