Schaller bass bridge 2000 vs Schaller 3D. Anyone tried both?

That's what I'm thinking, but the 2000 looks nicer IMO and appears to be a straight swap rather than having to drill new holes for the 3D, but it is like £30 more... does that make it better? Who knows...

Schaller bass bridge 2000 vs Schaller 3D. Anyone tried both?

I'm in the process of upgrading a squier jazz bass and am planning on going with one of these, however I've read mixed reviews on both but nobody comparing the two? Has anybody had experience with both? The jazz bass now has a P pickup so thought the adjustable spacing could come in handy. Thanks

Home friendly alternative to Ampeg SVT 3 pro?

It is for home, but my SVT is a 275w head. I can assure you I won't be using all 275w of power ;)

Home friendly alternative to Ampeg SVT 3 pro?

Now that sounds like a good buy... what's the spec on one of these? So far then, things to try/look out for - fender rumble v3 - Ampeg BA series Any suggestions on 10" cabs that can handle 275w at 8ohm?

Home friendly alternative to Ampeg SVT 3 pro?

What cab are you using for that? I have a headphone setup already with the BDDI but it just isn't the same as hearing it outloud! The 3 pro is twice the size with my 410 cab and I have a space saver staircase for my room so it's a nightmare getting it up and down

Home friendly alternative to Ampeg SVT 3 pro?

Yeah that's my way of thinking also, the fender looks good but for the same price I could get a Ampeg BA series amp, any experience with those Alternatively I could find a cheap 1x10/1x12 cab to run the SVT through using a attenuator? Any ideas on 1x10's with 300/400w handling? SVT 3 is 275w...

Home friendly alternative to Ampeg SVT 3 pro?

So my live rig is a Ampeg SVT 3 pro through a 410HE cab, and then a SansAmp BDDI on top of that. I am happy with the tone i get from this setup but due to lack of space and the volume it's not practical to use at home on a regular basis. I've had a look at the micro VR stack which looks very...

    Choosing a P bass neck?

Thanks for the link sissy kathy, I stumbled across a mighty mite kit whilst searching for more options, which I can have posted for around £400, that includes everything I need except CTS pots and chrome domes. Has anyone had any experience with the mighty mite bodies here? One piece swamp...

    Choosing a P bass neck?

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I have posted this on basschat.co.uk and not had much luck other than a recommendation on Mighty Mite. I have considered that they may not be a perfect match, and if that is the case I have somebody I can take it to, however the reviews on the GuitarBuild...

    Choosing a P bass neck?

So I'm planning on putting together a parts P bass, starting with a guitarbuild body: Precision Bass contoured – Guitarbuild I plan on finishing the body myself, using hipshot hardware and Seymour Duncan QP's, however the one thing I cannot decide on is the neck. After researching for U.K...

String gauge for setting up in drop C (2 semi tones down)

Okay so I set up my Squier 77 jazz bass last week and I'm really pleased with how it turned out, however in my band I use 2 tunings, one being standard drop D, and the other being drop C. My strings are Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky (Orange pack), however I'm worried that if I go to set up using...

Using 2 preamp pedals through one amp?

May definitely be something worth trying then! As far as independent distortions go, I think I am drawn to the MXR because of its other features as well as the fact it'd be an ideal distortion pedal. I have the programmable BDDI, so I have my main tone, a slight volume boost for solo/bridge...

Using 2 preamp pedals through one amp?

so basically I run a SVT 3 pro through a SVT 410HE cab, and recently I've been building up a pedalboard for live use. I've got my bass tone very close to the tone our album using a sansamp BDDI on top of the ampeg, and I've got an MXR M87 on the way just to level the sound out, but the one thing...
