Choosing a P bass neck?

So I'm planning on putting together a parts P bass, starting with a guitarbuild body:

Precision Bass contoured – Guitarbuild

I plan on finishing the body myself, using hipshot hardware and Seymour Duncan QP's, however the one thing I cannot decide on is the neck.

After researching for U.K. neck suppliers I've narrowed it down to one of the following:
Northwest Guitars:

Custom World Guitar Parts:

Standard Fender Neck:

The fender neck is the most expensive but I would not mind spending £200 on a good neck, has anyone used/bought any of these necks and can shed a little light on which are worth the money?

Are there any U.K. suppliers that I've missed? Or other suppliers that won't charge £50+ just to have the neck shipped?

Thanks guys

Have you considered they say the reissue necks won't fit that body? Reissue necks are built to today's standard dimension. If you're set on that body consider buying a neck from them as well. Personally I'd look for a body that will accept a standard Fender neck.

But to answer your question. I wouldn't go with the Northwest Guitar works neck. The picture shows a headstock adjustment, but the description says it is adjusted at the heel. Heel adjustments are a PITA.

I'd go with this one:
Custom World Guitar Parts:

unless you really want that decal from Fender. Even then a very good copy can be had from here:

as you already have intentions of finishing the body, adding the decal is a piece of cake.

I have to agree here.
A body from one manufacturer may not be completely compatible with a neck from another.
I have purchased one of those Mexican necks directly from Fender, but used it on a Squier body, which Fender designed it to fit.
You may end up having to make unwanted modifications to make a mismatched body/neck work.

Hey guys thanks for the replies.

I have posted this on basschat.co.uk and not had much luck other than a recommendation on Mighty Mite.

I have considered that they may not be a perfect match, and if that is the case I have somebody I can take it to, however the reviews on the GuitarBuild bodies are very positive, and they even give you dimension options on the neck pocket so I can order to match whichever neck I decide on (63.5mm or 64mm)

The important thing is finding a nice maple neck with a nice finish (anything besides unfinished is worth a look) and fender style headstock for a reasonable price!!

Now after looking at mighty mite, I can get one delivered from US for £140 (BYO Guitars), which is still cheaper than the fender neck, and judging from other threads on here, a better choice. However I can't seem to find anywhere that offered much of a variety of mighty mite necks, or even many places that sell them? Some block inlay options or binding maybe?

Do you guys know of any good mighty mite suppliers?

Thanks for the link sissy kathy,

I stumbled across a mighty mite kit whilst searching for more options, which I can have posted for around £400, that includes everything I need except CTS pots and chrome domes.

Has anyone had any experience with the mighty mite bodies here? One piece swamp ash body licensed by fender sounds too good to be true?!
