    BEAD tunning with regular EADG strings

    Chromes are pretty high tension. You may be able to use their .105 set. I did an estimate of the tension for BEAD and it comes to 31.1, 37.6, 45, 41.2 lbs. For comparison, TI flats (.100) EADG tension is 34.4, 31.3, 37.5, 37 lbs. Now I have never tried the .105s, but I do have chromes...

    If you gig, I would gig it first. I don't particularly like the treble of my SR4 when I practice (I roll the treble down about a quarter turn, bump the bass and mid just a bit), but when I play with the band, everything goes back to level and it sits properly with the drums and guitar.
