My band is set to record our first full lenght (with the money mostly coming out of our own pockets, which is sort of the norm in the scene we are part of) this year and we have gotten in touch with a producer who has made some name for himself nationally and produced some albums we like. Also...

We always get "whoa, you have improved" or "you have such a good spirit" and we always take it as "I have nothing good to say about your music but I'm trying to be nice". :)

I have been using an Ashdown ABM 610 for a few months now. Not going to analyze it very much since I think I lack the experience to compare it to many others, but here's something: It's three sealed 210's and sounds like it too, tight and "growly" (whatever it means...). Had a pretty good...

Yeah...this was my poor attempt at making fun of the premise that a forum newbie starts by asking what's the best bass for a certain genre. :p Mostly I'm just wenting the GAS and seems like it's working (apart from browsing a lot of sites that sell basses). Thanks for the replies though!
