It takes just seconds to check intonation , I don’t find any movement when I play. I have several basses with floating bridges , they have never been a problem for me , and I’ve seen no need to pin them.

I have a Korean reissue with the set neck , build quality is much better than the originals. Better tuners. Beautiful thing.

Same pickup , Just put a chrome cover and surround on it.

Twenty something basses , one old Hofner needs a new truss rod , and has a bound neck. Beyond my skill set. I will eventually get it done by a luthier. I generally pick up and play the rest , if something needs to adjusted , I do it. Some require routine tweaking , and there are some that do...

I have a Classic IV , no issues with the build , well made. But I also have a Harmony H22 reissue and a Gretsch 5123 so it’s rarely played.

I love a nice Ric , they are nothing like a Fender styled instrument. The 4001 has the old style truss rods. Take off the truss rod cover and look at the truss rods , if they are bent down that’s a sign they were not properly adjusted. You must put tension on the neck before you tighten them ...

They are not easy to find at this point. Pity , they’re great little basses.

Two practice setups , an Aguilar TH350 with a little Barefaced One10. This doubles as a rehearsal rig as it can easily keep up with with a drummer , and it’s small and light. No fuss to haul around. I have a couple of 200 watt heads too , an Elf that usually goes in the gig bag just in case ...

The Gretsch is a beautiful thing. I was looking for quite a while before finally finding one for a good price. I don’t really play the heavier stuff , but with appropriate strings it could handle anything.
