I quite like some of the cheap and vintage basses out there, but I sometimes think it can be quite of a risk to buy one (especially bad trussrods and bowed necks). Although, I am a lucky owner of a great playing and sounding late 60's Orfeus Hebros sovjet bass :bassist:.

Definitely a 4 string Yamaha TRBX series bass. Lots of sound for a small price.

I didn't buy my tiny heads for the sake of being tiny, I bought them because it were killer sounding class D amps which fortunately happen to be light weight and tiny :D. You won't be seeing me playing with my bass on an old and dusty tube amp;)

Those tube amps are waaaaay too heavy. Also I really want the purest sound from my bass, a tube amp kinda distorts the signal too much (especially playing with the volume cranked open). Same reason I don't use pedals etc. Just a simple, light weight and easy to carry class D amplifier. Although...

Hahaha thanks :D Although, it wasn't just building a non functional bass, I gained quite a lot of experience in woodworking and painting during this project. That's valuable too ya know ;) And to be honest, minimum wage for a 14 year old is about 3 euros an hour....
