Thanks for your reply. yes, I certainly play some of the passages up on the D string for sustain. However, in this particular show, some of the passages required playing on the first five frets on all four strings. But I do like your suggestion - thanks again!

I have an Ampeg B500DR head rated at 375 watts into 4 ohms. I want to plug it into 2 Hartke Cabs each at 8 ohms bringing it down to 4 ohms. However, the cabs are rated at 200 watts handling capacity. Am I making a mistake? Thanks.
