I do this alot. Most of the time it's from my clumsiness, but a couple of times its from being squished in between 6 other people, when there was a ton of space next to this guy standing next to me, && he wouldn't move over, so I "Accidentaly" poked some decent scratches into the dudes bass.

I do know it was by a pretty common composer, I just can't remember who, and I think it was originally written for the cello. And it makes me feel stupid for going through all the trouble to look it up.

My bass has a super-sharp endpin, one time I was walking down the hall with my friend after a concert, she was in front of me, and then she suddenly stops while i'm still walking, the next thing I hear is: "OW!" I felt so bad, and her poor leg has a scar thats like huge.

Ok, So I went to this master class for people around my age at a college, and this one girl played a song, and i'm thinking it was called Sonatina or something, and I wanted a copy, so she did say she would make me a copy but I didn't see her at all the remainder of the week, and I want to play...

Ohh, I get that alot, too. My school has really ignorant people, and I can't tell half the time when they're joking and when they're not. If I walk down the hallway, I hear: "Look, She's got a tuba!" "Is that a cello?" "Why don't you just play a normal size violin?" "Is that heavy?"...

is it wooden? I tend to stick to wooden since my other bow I had last year that was made out of that plastic-y material melted.

That's good you got in, I normally have trouble with auditions, too. Around my area, most of the youth orchestras require us to do scales, solo, sight-reading, and then a theory & conducting exam. Recently I went to this college-camp thing, and when we had placement auditions, I thought...

Ohhh, I was thinking it was just your tuning keys, not the strings. Nevermind that post then, lol.

This used to happen to me alot, my instructor told me to put a little masking tape on the tuning keys, and it doesn't rattle anymore.
