I like a lot of different instruments from different makers. I'm loyal to not buying certain brands though, like Epiphone.

I tried a fretted Alien bass, not even the german one. I think it's a rock-bass series and it played and sounded nice. Not a huge sound when played unplugged but nice for practice. It wouldn't be loud enough to play with an unplugged formation. Plugged-in it sounds crisp but not brittle. Nice...

No need to be a fender to be a great bass. Some fenders suck. Some fenders rule. Some non-fenders rule over the fenders. Some non fenders suck too.

I play 34 inch, waiting for a 30 inch currently being build. Tried 35" but i'm not a big guy and I struggle to play 1st position on those basses.
