Loud noise from brand new preamp

Hi there, we've just intalled a new preamp in a bass, it's a 5 pot artec preamp. After wiring and installing we get a clean sound mixed with a pink-ish white-ish noise, quite loud. It sounds like a radio out of tune, or an old tv with no signal. Any hint on what the problem may be will be really appreciated.

I would contact the seller, sounds like there's a problem. Have you rechecked all of the solder joints?

Is the bass shielded? Some preamp makers STRONGLY recommend that.

Habe similar problem on my previous Ibanez SR705 MIK after install the Bart P2 soapar and 3 band NTNB preamp.
Problem solve with copper sheilding.

Those chinese Artecs are hit or miss. sounds like they sent you a dud
