    Unless maybe someone wants to go Jimi Hendrix on this thing! I actually was kind of interested in a short scale for some of those fast, wandering songs. This just isn't exactly what I had in mind! Rock on Granny.

    I really want to try this bass on one of our songs for a demo we are recording next month. The tone is really unique. You guys may have just convinced me to keep it.. unless I get a ridiculous offer on it. :)

    our new bass player isn't very good

    I started playing with literally no experience. We have a very talented guitarist who can play bass much better then me, but he was kind enough to take me under his wing and teach me the ropes, and that's all I can recommend. Teach him. You both will learn and he will be forever grateful!

    Do you have a "spot" on stage?

    I like being right next to my drummer and his hi-hat. Usually I am following his hi-hat or kick drum to keep a tight rhythm. I also like being towards the back by the drummer. I don't sing, and we have a very talented guitarist, so I like to give him the spotlight most of the time.

    Headphones as mixing monitors?

    It's a good way to find balance in you're mixes. Be warned you will never be completely satisfied, I have spent months tweaking mixes and still find things I wish I would have done differently.

    Just bought my first mac

    I've heard great things about Reaper. Personally I'm a ProTools guy, but if you are strapped for cash check out Reaper. I would suggest investing in a decent pair of monitors with a flat frequency response instead.

    MacBook Pro > MOTU 8Pre > ProTools 10 Was really easy to get up and running and haven't had any problems yet!
