Hi, I ordered the EHX Octavix because I thought it would be a cool octave up+ fuzz to have in a power trio setting( to thicken the sound during guitar solo's) but the tracking is horrible and everything on the low E sounds like a clipping mess with sudden substain cut-offs. So I,m returning...

For a song I need to quickly switch from a single note riff on the E string to power chords on the A-D strings and right now I pinch the a and d strings while muting the E with my pinky. Is this the proper technique or is there something better?

I had the same discussion about tuning:), I figured the songs out by ear and tuned drop D, and the bandleader wants me to tune D standard for no reason...

Heard the pog 2 allows you to detune your octave so you could dail in some 5ths, then it would sound like powerchords :)

Will the Micro pog's octave up running through a overdrive make a convincing substitute rhythm guitar?

Not really, he just uses 2 POGS that boost his range into guitar range, after those POGS there is some guitar effects. He also uses a pedal to turn the guitar amps on and off. This is his pedalboard (the big green pedal is a Amp selector)
